Book early to avoid disappointment!
The Kenora Golf and Country Club has a timber frame pine banquet room that measures 48’ x 60’ that can accommodate up to 140 guests.
The cost to rent the hall is $500.00 plus 13% HST, $200.00 of which is a non-refundable deposit required upon booking or up to three months in advance of the function to secure booking.
Thirty days prior to the event, an additional refundable security fee of $500.00 is due. This fee is only applied in the event of damage to the premise, which determination is at the sole discretion of the club. The client agrees to accept personal and collective responsibility for any damages to the premise by the guests of the function prior to, during or after the function.
Decoration & Set-up
For evening events, the premise will be available for use by the booking party from
3 p.m. on the day of the event for the purpose of set-up etc. Special arrangements may be made with management for decorating earlier depending on the club functions of the day.
The club has 14 banquet tables that are rectangular in length that seat 10 people comfortably. If round or other shaped tables are required, they are at the responsibility of the organizer to arrange rental, delivery and assume costs. Table linens are not provided.
If candles are to be used, they must be encased in glass due to fire hazards.
Due to the nature of the pine, stapling or nailing into the pine is not permitted. We also request that trophies remain on the designated trophy shelf and fireplace mantle.
Confetti, sparkles and rice
We ask that no confetti, sparkles or rice be used throughout the building or anywhere on the property.
Your photographer can make use of the grounds outside the clubhouse, providing they are not interfering with the golfers. We ask that management be notified of areas that would like to be used to ensure pictures are taken safely.
The Kenora Golf & Country Club supplies all the bartenders, glass needs, straws, mixes, soft drinks, fresh limes and lemons, celery and ice for the duration of the function.
The bar service will be operated by the club, including provision of wine under the club’s license. Wine may be chosen, but not provided by the party. The club charges a corkage fee of $9.00 per bottle for wine above the club’s cost including all taxes.
The Kenora Golf & Country Club will sell drinks on an individual basis directly to the guests.
The Host of the event will pay for each and every drink. The Host will be billed accordingly, based on the following price structure. The party may chose to restrict the types of drinks available to their guests.
Bar Shot – House brand – $4.55
Domestic Beer – $4.55
Coolers – $5.75
Caesar – $6.50
House wine per glass – $5.50
House wine per bottle 750 ml bottle- $23.95
Fountain Pop – $2.50 (includes free refills)
All food is to be supplied, prepared and served by Leslie Watson, the caterer at the Kenora Golf & Country Club.
All menu items listed below are guidelines to help you choose the right menu for your function; however, the client can alter the menu to fit their needs and pricing.
We offer buffet dinners which include salads, garden vegetables, choice of potatoes, cabbage rolls, rice or pasta, assorted relished to compliment, dinner rolls, choice of beef, ham, turkey, chicken breast or roast pork.
Plated meals are also available for smaller weddings.
